This collection explores the global impact of English through fact-based and contrastive analyses of different types of Anglicisms across a wide range of languages. This book will appeal to students and scholars interested in language contact, World Englishes, language policy and planning, and lexicography.

Henrik Gottlieb is an Emeritus Associate Professor of English at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark, and Chair of the Global Anglicism Database Network. Anabella-Gloria Niculescu-Gorpin is a Senior Researcher at the Iorgu Iordan - Alexandru Rosetti Institute of Linguistics, Romanian Academy, and an Associate Professor at the University of Bucharest, Romania. Alicja Witalisz is a Professor of Linguistics at the Institute of English Studies at the University of the National Education Commission, Krakow, Poland. Keisuke Imamura is an Associate Professor of Japanese Language and Linguistics at Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology, Japan. Jaime W. Hunt is a Lecturer of Linguistics at the University of Newcastle, Australia.
