Virtual Roaming Data Services and Seamless Technology Change

The subject is "Virtual Roaming for data services" and "Seamless Technology change" also called "Number Continuity".
"Virtual Roaming for voice and SMS" was covered in one of the author's previous book. "Virtual Roaming" means that it allows a subscriber to visit a network which his home network does not have an agreement with. The "Seamless Technology change" allows a user to keep all his services including reception of calls and SMS sent to his usual number when he switches his GSM to a Satellite phone or to WiFi. The implementation of Seamless Technology change uses the SS7 Roaming Hub and GTP Hubs technology explained in the first part of the book.
The book also contains chapters explaining in detail the steering and anti-steering of roaming, LTE Serving Mobile Location Centers, and Advanced Policy and Charging implementations in LTE and 3G.
This is to be used as an easy reference book. All the relevant references to the standards are included chapter by chapter.

Arnaud Henry-Labord`ere graduated from -Ecole Centrale de Paris (1966) and had the Ph.D. Mathematics, USA (1968).
Academic: Was the professor of Operations Research at Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chauss-ees from 1981 to 1998, then honorary professor after being associate professor from 1973 to 1980. He was also professor at Ecole Nationale des Mines de Paris, visiting professor at the Universite de Versailles PRISM-CNRS, and previously assistant professor at Ecole Centrale de Paris and Universite Paris Dauphine.
Industry: Started as a mathematician at IBM USA in 1967 (Ph.D. fellowship). Then senior engineer at SEMA and SESA being project manager for the ground segment software of METEOSAT the -rst European ESA geo-stationnary satellite. 2 years at SITA as deputy technical Director designing a novel world wide telecom network. Has founded 3 companies: Ferma (1983) manufacturer of voice processing and large voice mail systems, devopping text-to-speech and voice recognition systems, then Nilcom (1998) the -rst company offering a world wide SMS network. He created Halys in 2003 as Chairman and Chief scientist, a mobile core network and virtual roaming systems manufacturer including the cyber security applications. Author of 12 books (6 in Applied Maths, 5 in Telecommunications, 1 naval history), about 90 patents, 60 scienti-c articles and conferences.
