Carolin Heel, Kunstwissenschaftlerin und Kuratorin. Sie studierte Kunsterziehung, Malerei/Grafik und Intermediales Gestalten sowie Freie Kunst an den Kunstakademien Karlsruhe und Stuttgart bevor sie an der AdBK Karlsruhe im Bereich Kunstwissenschaft promoviert wurde. Als Postdoktorandin war sie am DFG-Projekt "Visuelle Bildung", Universität Hamburg, tätig. Ihre Forschungsschwerpunkte liegen im Bereich der Affekt- und Emotionstheorie, Genderspezifik sowie Bild- und Subjektivitätstheorie in der zeitgenössischen Kunst.
