Learn the art of metal embossing with expert designer, artist and crafter CLARE YOUNGS. Discover 35 beautiful STEP-BY-STEP PROJECTS, from jewellery and homeware to gifts and seasonal decorations. Metal embossing - also known as repoussé - is the decorative technique of creating raised or recessed 3D designs on thin metal sheets. Perfect for beginners and more experienced makers alike, there are projects for every occasion, from ornate Christmas decorations and tree toppers to an autumnal leaf garland and Valentine's Day tokens. There are makes for the home, too - think striking mobiles and lanterns - as well as wearable treasures such as brooches. A budget-friendly craft, metal embossing requires few specialist tools and can be done using upcycled materials, such as foil trays. As well as a guide to the basic techniques, you'll find easy-to-use templates that make each project accessible. With just a few basic tools, you can get lost in creating unique, detailed ornaments.
