He serves as an expert witness in legal cases involving communication sciences and disorders. Dr. Tanner is Professor Emeritus of Health Sciences at Northern Arizona University and was named "Outstanding Educator" by the Association of Schools of Allied Health Professions and the "Teacher of the Year" for the College of Health Professions.
