Diploma Thesis from the year 2020 in the subject World History - Antiquity, grade: A, University of Wroclaw, course: Classical History and Archaeology, language: Polish, abstract: [PL] Przedmiotem niniejszej pracy sa wspólczesne pozostalosci naziemnych konstrukcji arkadowych starozytnych akweduktów w miescie Rzym. Pod uwage zostaly wziete akwedukty, które wybudowano w latach 312 p.n.e. - 226 n.e. Celem pracy jest przedstawienie stanu zachowania i zagospodarowania pozostalosci naziemnych arkad, po których biegly akwedukty na terenie miasta Rzymu w zestawieniu z ich stanem pierwotnym w oparciu o opracowania oraz wlasne badania. Praca przedstawia charakterystyke wszystkich jedenastu glównych wodociagów miasta Rzymu z uwzglednieniem uproszczonej trasy ich przebiegu, jej dlugosci i specyfiki, fundatorów, celu lub przyczyn powstania, ewentualnych remontów i modyfikacji oraz ilosci dystrybuowanej wody i procentowego udzialu beneficjentów. Informacje te stanowia podstawe do analizy wspólczesnych pozostalosci akweduktów w granicach administracyjnych miasta Rzym wraz z dokladnym opisem trasy ich przebiegu uzupelnionym ikonografia wspólczesna i historyczna.
[EN]This dissertation aims to present a short history of each of eleven aqueducts that fed the ancient (up to modern) city of Rome with attention to such detail as their course and its length, motive for construction, their founders, renovations or modifications and the volume of water delivered to the city, further redistributed to meet constantly increasing needs and serve specific purposes. The aqueducts depicted in this paper were built between 312 BC - 226 AD with contemporary remains of their aboveground arcade structures being the focus of attention of it.
