JESÚS VALERO nació en Donostia en 1968. Es doctor en Ciencias biológicas por la Universidad del País Vasco y ha realizado varios másteres sobre marketing y gestión de empresa. Ha sido investigador en conservación del patrimonio cultural y ha participado en la restauración de iglesias y monumentos. Su tesis, relacionada con el estudio de la piedra arenisca, y su interés por la Historia antigua y la Edad Media quedan reflejados en la trilogía formada por La luz invisible, El eco de las sombras y El roce de la oscuridad.
