The waters surrounding the Sunshine State are overflowing with biodiversity and opportunities to discover unique marine life. From the panhandle to Dry Tortugas, there is much to learn about the species that live below the ocean's surface. Florida's Amazing Underwater Sea Life dives deep into the ecosystems that include coral, sponges, invertebrates, reef fish, game fish, apex predators, reptiles, and mammals. Mike and Suzanne Lombard have photographed common and rare marine species for over 40+ years. Their stunning underwater photography is accompanied by informative text, identifying features, behavior, and habitats for each species. Included are insights into the lives led under the sea, along with what threatens them. The Lombards impart tips for the environmentally conscious snorkeler, free-diver, scuba diver, and underwater photographer and those beginning in these pursuits. Marine aficionados and casual friends of fish will appreciate this in-depth exploration and exhibition of the creatures that inhabit Florida’s waterways.
Michael and Suzanne Lombard reside on Cudjoe Key in the Florida Keys and have two sons, Zachary and Zeke, all avid underwater enthusiasts. Mike and Suzanne has been diving and photographing marine life around the world for over 40 years. Their passion for underwater photography began in the Southeast Coast of Florida and the Keys. The Lombards' photography has been exhibited in Florida outdoor art shows, winning many honors. In November of 2021, the Underwater Photography Gallery was opened on Cudjoe Key to further showcase their work. They are committed to supporting ocean conservation and recovery of threatened/endangered species. Mike and Suzanne hope to educate others to appreciate and take care of the extremely delicate ocean environment. See more of their work at www.lombarduwphoto.com.
