Dr Stephen Bull is Curator of Military History and Archaeology for Lancashire County Museums with special responsibility for local regimental collections; he has previously worked at the National Army Museum and the BBC. Amongst his other books are four Osprey titles, two on World War I Trench Warfare (Elite 78 & 84), and two on World War II Infantry Tactics. Elected a Member of the Institute of Field Archaeologists in 2004, he has appeared in the TV series Battlefield Detectives. Steve Noon was born in Kent, UK, and attended art college in Cornwall. He has had a life-long passion for illustration, and since 1985 has worked as a professional artist. As well as for numerous Osprey series volumes, Steve has provided award-winning illustrations for renowned publishers Dorling Kindersley, where his interest in historical illustration began.
