Advances in Manufacturing and Processing of Materials

This new volume examines important research on advancements in materials and manufacturing processes, focusing on characterization and applications and defining solutions to current issues as well as for inspiration for future innovation. It looks at areas including material characterization using modern technologies, process characterization, and more. Narendra Kumar, PhD, is Assistant Professor in the Industrial and Production Engineering Department at Dr. B. R. Ambedkar National Institute of Technology, India. Prior to joining NIT, he worked for the Bajaj Institute of Technology, India. Dr. Kumar is also a principal investigator of several SERB-DST- funded and ISRO-YUKTI-funded projects. He has published over 55 research articles and has presented at a number of national and international conferences. His research interests encompass additive manufacturing, machining methods, and material development. Mohit Tyagi, PhD, is Associate Professor in the Department of Production and Industrial Engineering at Punjab Engineering College, India, where he was named Best Faculty in 2023. With 10 years of teaching and research experience, he focuses on industrial engineering, supply chain management, corporate social responsibilities, performance measurement systems, data science, and fuzzy inference systems. With over 125 publications in international and national journals and conference proceedings, he also serves as a reviewer for several international journals. Dilbagh Panchal, PhD, is Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the National Institute of Technology, India. His research focuses on reliability and maintenance engineering, fuzzy decision-making, and operation management. He has published over 50 research papers in SCI/Scopus-indexed journals and authored five book chapters. Additionally, he has edited a book on advanced multi-criteria decision-making for addressing complex sustainability issues. Ravi Pratap Singh, PhD, is Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the National Institute of Technology, Haryana, India. He has published over 150 research articles in SCI/Scopus-indexed journals and proceedings and has been ranked among the Top 2% of Scientists in the World, as per Stanford University 2021 and 2022. He serves as an editor and guest editor for several journals, is principal/co-principal investigator for several funded research projects, and has been active in several national events as general chair, reviewer, and member of various committees. He holds two patents in the development of hybrid machining tools and methods. Dr. Singh has received several awards for his work.
