Nuclear power has for the most part dominated Western media and academic analyses concerning Iranian foreign policy in recent years. In a riposte to Samuel Huntington's 'Clash of Civilisations' theory, Khatami proposed that there ought to be a 'Dialogue among Civilisations'.
