Shotten-Hallel is an architect and archaeologist working in the Archaeological Research Department, Israel Antiquities Authority. Her research focuses on medieval architecture, particularly building materials and technologies in the Latin Kingdom of Jerusalem. She is currently leading the research project on 'Atlit Castle.
