La Insólita Maldición de Los Trece / The Incredible Curse of the Thirteen

Un video donde se graba a un fantasma, una fiesta de alberca en la que un inesperado monstruo deja huérfano al festejado, un juguetero que fabrica muñecos tamaño natural, entre otros, son los personajes de estos relatos de miedo. El Quemado es un pueblo pequeño del que es imposible escapar, pues a la vuelta de cada esquina acecha lo desconocido. Todo empezó hace mucho tiempo, cuando tres jóvenes se adentraron en una cueva prohibida. Desde entonces el pueblo quedó maldito: las víctimas, en vez de soplar las velas de su pastel, se convertirán en protagonistas de una historia de terror. La insólita maldición suele llegar a los trece años, suele ocurrir en El Quemado, pero la desgracia puede caer sobre cualquiera. Es una advertencia.

ENGLISH DESCRIPTION A video recording a ghost, a pool party where an unexpected monster leaves the birthday celebrant orphaned, a toymaker who creates life-sized dolls, among others, are the characters in these scary stories. El Quemado is a small town from which it is impossible to escape, as the unknown lurks around every corner. It all started a long time ago when three young people ventured into a forbidden cave. Since then, the town has been cursed: the victims, instead of blowing out the candles on their cake, will become the protagonists of a horror story. The unusual curse usually strikes at thirteen years old, typically occurring in El Quemado, but the misfortune can befall anyone. This is a warning.

Jorge A. Estrada nació en la Ciudad de México durante el invierno de 1975. Cuando descubrió que lo que más le gusta es crear historias, comenzó a escribir cuentos cortos, y más adelante decidió estudiar cine. A lo largo de veinte años ha logrado publicar varios libros, sobre todo pensados para niños y niñas, y además ha hecho algunas películas. Un día, el gato Poti y la gatita Mirinda llegaron a su vida y le revelaron el mágico mundo de los felinos. Gracias a eso se le ocurrió la idea de contar la historia de un gato detective. Así nació Fisk y el misterio del gato músico. Jorge A. Estrada was born in Mexico City during the winter of 1975. When he discovered that what he loved most was creating stories, he began writing short stories, and later decided to study film. Over the course of twenty years, he has managed to publish several books, mainly intended for children, and has also made some movies. One day, the cat Poti and the kitten Mirinda came into his life and revealed to him the magical world of felines. Thanks to this, he came up with the idea of telling the story of a detective cat. Thus, Fisk y el misterio del gato músico (Fisk and the Mystery of the Musical Cat) was born.
