Each of those has both forces inside of us. Society has taught us to pursue I life of instant gratification and external approval. The façade of a perfect invulnerable lifestyle. The type of life as portrayed by people on social media. This is a constantly unfulfilling race to be and have the best and newest material possessions in order to give ourselves tangible rewards of our own pursuit our of perfection. Vulnerabilities are stamped out of us at an early age by society and the various external parties. Usually, it is only in our later years that the myth of invulnerability is exposed. At this point the journey to find our own vulnerabilities commences. Everyone can remember the silent and weird kid who never fitted in at school. That kid was the smart one who was prepared to be vulnerable. It is now ironic that this is what we out truly seeking. This is no ordinary self-help book and is designed to show the conflicts of invulnerability, vulnerability, perfection and imperfection. I am guessing that the universe is asking and guiding you to find answers to the above questions. Are you willing to trust the process? A bit about me I am 35 years old. I was originally a teacher so I have always been interested in learning and helping others. I have been actively working to educate men and women in the importance of mental health. What started me in this area was being given a second chance at life. As Brendon Burchard writes this was my "Golden ticket." In my 20's I survived a tragic traffic accident. My beautiful Husky Malamute gave his life to save mine and my family. My young son and husband were saved when my dog jumped on them to cover them and ultimately save their lives at the cost of his own. It was after this tragic accident and his sacrifice that I really appreciated that my true purpose was to help others who are suffering. I guess I have learned mental health the hard way from my own experiences with TBI and PTSD
