Peter Stekel has hiked throughout the intermountain West, the West Coast, the Sierra Nevada, the Pacific Northwet, and regions well beyond. He is the author of Final Flight: The Mystery of a WWII Plane Crash and the Frozen Airmen in the High Sierra along with the novel, The Flower Love. Stekel has also authored hundreds of articles in such publications as Sierra Heritage, American Forests, High Country News, and Canoe&Kayak. He has a degree in botany and contributed to the Idaho Wildflowers app.
