Salvador Elizondo (Ciudad de México, 1932-2006). Novelista, poeta, ensayista y traductor. Entre sus obras destacan Farabeuf o La crónica de un instante (1965), El hipogeo secreto (1968), El grafógrafo (1972) y Elsinore: un cuaderno (1988). Colaboró en las principales revistas y suplementos culturales de México, como Plural, Vuelta y Siempre!, además de fundar las revistas S.NOB y Nuevo Cine. Tradujo poemas, ensayos y textos de autores en alemán, inglés, italiano y francés. Obtuvo el Premio Xavier Villaurrutia en 1965 por Farabeuf o La crónica de un instante y el Premio Nacional de Ciencias y Artes en 1990. Fue miembro de la Academia Mexicana de la Lengua y de El Colegio Nacional. Sus libros han sido traducidos al inglés, francés, polaco, portugués, italiano y alemán.
