Dave Eggers (Boston, 1970) es escritor, además de fundador y editor de las revistas McSweeney's Quarterly Concern y The Believer. También es cofundador de 826 Valencia, un centro de voluntariado que ayuda a niños y adolescentes con programas extraescolares y clases de escritura. En español ha publicado, entre otras, Guardianes de la intimidad, Qué es el qué, Los monstruos, Una historia conmovedora, asombrosay genial, Zeitoun, Un holograma para el rey y El Círculo, las dos últimas adaptadas a la gran pantalla. Coescribió la adaptación cinematográfica del libro infantil clásico de Maurice Sendak Donde viven los monstruos.
