Cumbres Borrascosas / Wuthering Heights

The rugged Yorkshire moors, lashed by violent and unpredictable storms, are the setting for one of the most tumultuous love stories of all time. When Mr. Earnshaw returns home with the orphaned Heathcliff, Catherine's life is forever changed: her new friend becomes first the companion of a wayward childhood and adolescence, then the passion of a passionate love, but also the pernicious breeding ground of resentment, jealousy, and violent fights. All the grandeur of the 19th-century Romantic spirit is present in Emily Brontë's only novel and unparalleled masterpiece.
