Jilan Liu, MD, MHA is currently a HIMSS Vice President and Chief Executive, Greater China; Primary Consultant of Joint Commission International, and Director of Consultation, Greater China. Dr. Liu has over 30 years of experience in health care and over 30 years in the analysis and management of a variety of health care delivery and financing systems. She has worked with public/private hospitals and academic medical centers, large physician group practices, health insurance companies including HMOs, IT companies and associations, public health, accreditation and health policy research. As the Principal Consultant for JCI around the world and Lead Consultant for its China Practice, Dr. Liu has provided consultation services to more than 100 hospitals in over 20 countries in the past ten years, including more than 40 hospitals in China. She and her teams have guided client hospitals in transforming their clinical and managerial operations toward better patient safety, higher quality, more respect with personalized care/attention, and greater operational excellence. Dr. Jilan Liu provides consultation and technical assistance to hospitals and other health care organizations in preparation for Joint Commission International accreditation. The service she provides include, but are not limited to, a general evaluation to determine the organization's degree of compliance with applicable JCI standards.
