Jon Bilbao (Ribadesella, 1972) es ingeniero de minas y licenciado en Filología Inglesa. Es autor de los libros de cuentos Como una historia de terror (2008; Premio Ojo Crítico de Narrativa), Bajo el influjo del cometa (2010; Premio Tigre Juan y Premio Euskadi de Literatura) y Física familiar (2014); así como de las novelas El hermano de las moscas (2008), Padres, hijos y primates (2011; Premio Otras Voces, Otros Ámbitos) y Shakespeare y la ballena blanca (2013). Cuentos suyos aparecen recogidos en antologías como Siglo XXI. Los nuevos nombres del cuento español actual (2010), Pequeñas resistencias V (2010) y Cuento español actual (1992-2012) (2014). En Impedimenta ha publicado el volumen de relatos Estrómboli (2016), el tríptico El silencio y los crujidos (2018), Basilisco (2020), una antología de estilo western que recibió el Premio de las Librerías de Navarra, la nouvelle Los extraños (2021), Araña (2023) y Matamonstruos (2024) donde recupera a los personajes de Basilisco, Araña y Los extraños en una colección de historias que alternan pasado y presente, ficción y realidad.
