La Gran Carrera de Los Animales

Caracol piensa que no merece la pena participar en la carrera, pero sus amigos le mostrarán el poder de la amistad. -Quién ganará este año la carrera? La carrera anual del bosque se acerca y todos los animales están entrenando muy duro para participar. Bueno, todos los animales, no… Caracol le dice a su amiga Coneja que no quiere correr porque siempre es el último en la competición. Ella reúne a todos los animales en un claro del bosque para trazar un plan y animar a su amigo a participar. -Qué se les ocurrirá para ayudarlo? ------------------------Snail doesn’t want to take part in the Great Big Animal Race this year. After all, he knows he’ll just come last as he always does. But will this year be different? Will his friends find a way to play to Snail’s strengths and help him feel valued? The annual Animal Race is approaching and all animals are training very hard. Well, all but one....Snail tells his friend Rabbit he doesn't want to take part in the race this year because he always comes last. Rabbit gathers all the animals to devise a plan and encourage her friend to participate. Will Snail take part in the Great Big Animal Race and feel valued at the same time? A story about the power of friendship and celebrating uniqueness.

José Carlos Román García was born in Jerez de la Frontera (Cádiz, Spain) in 1972. After graduating in Teaching, and later in Pedagogy, he started working as a teacher in a primary school, his great passion in 1999. Several years ago, together with two fellow teachers, he launched the children's literature blog "Soñando Cuentos" (Dreaming Tales), which has received numerous awards and has thousands of daily visits from teachers and families all over the world. He began his journey in the publishing world in 2016 with the publication of his first picture book. He has published more than 50 titles with different publishers, some of them translated into several languages. He has also received mentions and awards such as the Cuatro Gatos Foundation Award. Julio Antonio Blasco has a degree in Fine Arts. He is a graphic designer and an  Illustrator of children and young adult books. He has worked in printing presses, animation production companies and graphic and exhibition design studios. He makes book covers, posters, and picture and non-fiction books. He has a small publishing label and, in addition to illustrating for clients around the world, he co-owns, with his sister Lola, a bookstore and gallery specialized in illustration in Valencia, Spain called Estudio 64.
