Ustedes van a fusilarme y no puedo mentir.
Ignacio's destiny has already been decided. In prison, he talks of the Napoleonic invasion of Spain, on the rights of the Creoles, about the fearsome General Calleja. He dives into the insurgent rebellion that he joined with verve and conviction and about his co-religionists. In this tell-all, the author explains the man he allied himself with, who soon made him uncomfortable and who would later become a declared adversary and an obstacle to the triumph of the cause.
