There has been a paradigm shift in Dr Vas's focus, i.e., from paediatric anaesthesia to pain management. She established Ashirvad Institute for Pain Management and Research (AIPMR) in 2005, one of the earliest pain management clinics in India. AIPMR is presently a post-graduate training centre, affiliated with the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences. She has published extensively on paediatric anaesthesia and the success of her innovative, out of box ideas in chronic pain in reputed journals.
