He is the founder and director of the El Quijote Festival (2015), an annual seven-month statewide collaborative festival that commemorates the Spanish writer and literary giant Miguel De Cervantes Saavedra and the 400 years of "Don Quixote", two books that changed his life.He lives in Raleigh, North Carolina with his wife of over 30 years, Michelle.
