Rubén Martínez Santana nació el 28 de junio de 1964 en Caracas, Venezuela. Periodista de formación, es escritor, compositor, dramaturgo, narrador oral y videógrafo. En Venezuela obtuvo el Premio Nacional de Narrativa Breve (1995), el Premio Nacional de Cuento Infantil (Ministerio de Educación, 1998), mención especial en The Film Council of Greater Columbus, Ohio (EE.UU., 1996), y el Premio de Dramaturgia Infantil UCV (2017), entre otros. Actualmente dicta talleres de poesía y narración oral en las escuelas de alta complejidad de Barcelona (España). Rubén Martínez Santana was born on June 28, 1964, in Caracas, Venezuela. A journalist by training, he is a writer, composer, playwright, oral storyteller, and videographer. In Venezuela, he received the National Short Narrative Award (1995), the National Children's Story Award (Ministry of Education, 1998), a special mention from The Film Council of Greater Columbus, Ohio (USA, 1996), and the UCV Children's Playwriting Award (2017), among others. He currently teaches poetry and oral storytelling workshops in high-complexity schools in Barcelona, Spain.
