Detrás de la puerta' is the story of three brothers, between six and twelve years old, separated in the midst of a war, which will make their lives, from that moment on, irremediably fragmented. Until the outbreak of the conflagration, the three live a happy childhood, oblivious to the events that will break up their family and mark their future. Thirty years later, one of them decides to return to his hometown to find his brothers, of whom he has never heard from again. He needs to understand what happened in those days and thus recover the shared moments that were frozen in his childhood: the games, the bicycle, his father's hugs, the glass of milk, the way to school, the stable, the spoon that was too big and a part of himself. When they meet, his little brother, who has remade his life and completely erased his past, will not want to or will not be able to look back, and his sister, devastated by doubts, will not be able to understand what his true identity is. Detrás de la puerta' explores the fragility of memory and the struggle to recompose a torn identity. A stark poetics with touches of drama, tenderness and humor, it takes us back to a happy childhood in the midst of convulsive times when everything was madness. Everything. Sergio Martínez Rubio won the II Premio de Dramaturgia Diputación de Córdoba with this vibrant drama, proving that we are in front of one of the most remarkable and promising voices of the current scene.

Sergio Martínez Rubio (Castellón, 1980) es autor, actor y director de teatro, diplomado en la Escuela Internacional de Teatro Jacques Lecoq, en París y el Centre Teatral Escalante, en Valencia. También es graduado superior en Sonido por la EMAV de Barcelona. Completa su formación con talleres de interpretación y dramaturgia con Lola Blasco, Marilia Samper, Alfredo Sanzol, Julio Manrique, Andrés Lima y Victòria Salvador. Como autor y dramaturgo ha estrenado los textos Una nota imposible (2008), Orfeo (2009), Cuatro_tres_dos (2011), Atles, (2012) escrito junto a Pau Pons, La cosa, (2013) Martina i el bosc de paper (2014), escrito junto a Pau Pons, Silenci, soroll blanc (2016), Estos días azules (2017), Acordarse de las cosas bellas (2019), De repente, un punto (2022) y Ma Solitud (2023). Sus textos han ganado el Premio de Dramaturgia de la Diputación de Córdoba y el VIII Concurso ELACT "LOLA FERNÁNDEZ MORENO", y han sido finalista en varios certámenes literarios, como el concurso de Historias rurales de Zenda Libros, el de microrrelatos de la Escuela de Escritores, o el concurso de Relato Corto del Nuevo Casino Principal de Pamplona. Entre los premios que han cosechado los espectáculos en los que ha participado están el Premio a la Mejor Dirección y Premio del Público, FETEN, Mejor Espectáculo Feria Ibérica de Teatro de Fundao, Premio del Público y Mejor Espectáculo Feria de Teatro de Leioa y Fira de Tàrrega y han sido nominados al Premio Revelación de los Premios MAX. En 2007 crea Teatro Inquieto, compañía en la que desarrolla sus proyectos personales y con la que ha estrenado cinco espectáculos.
