Understanding the various aspects of patient safety education, practice, and research in developing countries is vital in preparing a plan to overcome the challenges of improving patient safety. This unique volume discusses patient safety in developing countries, and the achievements and challenges faced in those places when trying to improve patient safety education and practice.This book includes a compilation of over 100 case studies surrounding patient safety in all aspects of health care. Prof. Yaser Mohammed Al-Worafi is a Professor of Clinical Pharmacy at College of Pharmacy, University of Science and Technology of Fujairah, UAE (Previously known as Ajman University) and University of Science and Technology, Yemen. He is/was also an Adjunct professor and visiting professor in many universities. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (BPharm) from Sana'a University, Yemen and obtained Master and PhD degree in Clinical Pharmacy from the Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), Malaysia. He has more than 20 years' experiences in education, practice and research in Yemen, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and Malaysia. He has held various academic and professional positions including: Head of Clinical Pharmacy/Pharmacy Practice department; Head of Teaching & learning committee, head of training committee, head of curriculum and assessment committee and other committees. He has authored over 100 peer-reviewed papers in international journals, book chapters and editing many books, one book published by Elsevier in June 2020; one book accepted by Elsevier and two books accepted by Springer. Prof. Yaser has supervised/co-supervised many PhD, Master, PharmD and B-Pharm students. He is a reviewer for eight recognized International peer-reviewed journals. Prof. Yaser prepared and wrote the first draft of Master of Clinical pharmacy program and PharmD internship manual. Prof. Yaser was a member of the founding committee of the integrated PharmD curriculum at Unizah College of Pharmacy.
