An alarming development, regarding the Italian victories in the 1980s, 1990s and even at the begin of the new millenium. Financial trouble, missing international succes, star players leaving the league and deficits in infrastructure contribute to a bad overall condition, the Italian League is in. The question and task is now, how to solve this misery by structural interventions as a league organising body. In order to find the right measures, it will firstly be taken a look at the problems causing this situation. Having examined, what led to this calamity, several methods and ideas to improve the current situation will be presented and discussed.
