Don Stradley is an award-winning journalist and author who has written about boxing for nearly 20 years. His writing has appeared in The Ring magazine, Ringside Seat, and ESPN.com, as well as various U.K. and South African publications. He's won various awards from the Boxing Writers Association, including honors for live event coverage and feature writing. Don has written several books on boxing, including biographies of Edwin Valero and Carlos Monzon. His book Slaughter in the Streets followed the exploits of several Boston area boxers who were involved in criminal activity. Crimereads.com hailed it as a "classic of boxing literature." His 2021 book, The War, focused on the unforgettable 1985 battle between Marvelous Marvin Hagler and Thomas Hearns.
