In 1973, Roberto Clemente was honored as the first baseball player born outside the continental U.S. to be inducted into the Hall of Fame. Frank P. Jozsa Jr. is the author of multiple books on sports, including Global Sports: Cultures, Markets and Organizations (2009), Major League Baseball Expansions and Relocations: A History, 1876-2008 (2009), Football Fortunes: The Business, Organization and Strategy of the NFL (2010), and College Sports Inc.: How Commercialism Influences Intercollegiate Athletics (2012). He is a retired professor of economics and business administration from Pfeiffer University.
