He has taught at Nottingham, Edinburgh, Hull, Warwick and De Montfort Universities in the United Kingdom. Dilwyn Porter is Honorary Professor of Sports History and Culture at De Montfort University and Visiting Professor of Modern History at Newman University, Birmingham, United Kingdom.
